Senix ultrasonic level sensor
Description
The Senix ToughSonic TSPC ultrasonic level sensor can be used to measure water
level in tanks, channels and dams. The level measurement can then be used as a
trigger to send alerts or automate pumping equipment.
Electrical connection
• The Senix TSPC 485 versions are standard Modbus RS485 serial
communications devices
• Connection to the C3 is made via the 2 m 4-way cable, this can be
extended if desired using appropriate cable jointing methods

• Either RS485 port on the C3 may be used

• Temperature compensation is automatically enabled by the Observant
software driver

arrangements mean the default Modbus address needs to be changed
Installation notes
• The 30S1 is supplied via Observant with a stainless steel bracket that
allows screw mounting to horizontal surfaces, otherwise the sensor can
be mounted directly through a hole sized for an M30 thread (Two M30 nuts
are supplied)
• The body of the 21S is un-threaded and requires mounting via u-bolts or
similar
• The body of the sensor must be shielded from direct sunlight. The internal
temperature compensation of the measurement is only effective if the
sensor and ambient temperatures match
